Spin Dynamics in Singlet Fission

Singlet fission (SF) is a spin conserving photo-driven process that generates multiple excitons, leading to significant promise in solar energy harvesting and sustainable energy strategies. In addition to traditional SF molecules like acenes, diradicaloids represent a promising category of SF molecules with rich spin properties that can help understand the spin dynamics in SF. Moreover, the effect of nuclear spins on the electronic spins in SF process remains an open question to be addressed. In addition, the conformational effect of dimeric molecules on SF spin evolution needs to be understood for designing optimal SF molecular systems.
